Upcoming May Events

We only have THREE Friday events left before we wind up for the school year! As always, we will be doing things over the summer, just not on Friday nights. If you have any suggestions for things we could do, let me know.

Here are our May Events:

May 11 (7-9pm) - Soccer Game BBQ @ Mackie Park - We are MEETING AT THE PARK to watch our church soccer team and cheer them on (our leaders Sheldon, Carlon, Andrew and Ryan play as well as Jesse, Mitchell, Josh, Connor, Jeff and Mark... plus many others!). We will have free hot dogs! If you want drinks or snacks, bring money as we'll have concession there as well. The park address is 8210 109B Street in North Delta.. right next to Sands Secondary).

May 18-21 - MAY CAMP Retreat - registration deadline is THIS COMING SUNDAY!!! Remember that we are meeting at the church at 2pm SHARP as we want to leave by 2:15. This means you will need to get an early dismissal from school and confirm a ride to the church if your parent can't drive you - don't leave this planning until the last minute! We will return around 6pm on Monday. Details are in the brochure and in the weekly email.

May 25 (6-9pm) - Disney Dress Up Party & BBQ - to celebrate the end of the school year, we are having a barbeque with iConnect before heading upstairs for a costume party (preteens will be doing field games). We'll have lots of prizes for the best costumes so be sure to dress up! Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided but please bring a dessert or salad to share.

Summer event ideas - if you have any suggestions let me know:

• Weekly Bible study - we could possibly do this at Timmy's! Each week will be topical so you wont miss part of a series if you are on vacation. This will be during the day one day a week
• Crossover week - for students going into grade 6+. After VBS each day (July 9-13) we will host afternoon events to help kids from All Star Kids cross over into iConnect. Teens are welcome to attend also as we do a lot of stuff with iConnect during the school year.
• Barbeques - who has a good house for barbeques? It would be fun to do a couple of them.
• Camping - Pastor Brad usually takes a group at the end of August. This is TBA as I need to talk to him about bookings and dates, but the end of August is most likely.
• Events - Playland, Lynn Canyon, beach days, Starbucks runs, field games, movie nights, or whatever else you guys want to do!
