BBC Youth Oscars this Friday!

Last month, we had our annual Make a Movie Night event. In their small groups, students worked to make movies based on this year's theme of 'spoofs.' This event is one of our small group team building events and went really well! Now that the movies are all up YouTube, we're inviting everyone to watch them before our BBC Academy Awards celebration this Friday night. Anyone who was not part of the movie making is eligible to vote for the various awards. If you participated, be sure to send your video to friends and family so they can vote too!

If you think a movie deserves an award that isn't listed, please include your suggestion when you email your votes to me (by February 16) at aschmidke@bethanybaptist.bc.ca.You may vote for any or all of the following categories:

Best Actor
Best Supporting Actor
Best Actress
Best Supporting Actress
Best Director
Best Screenplay
Best Film Editing
Best Concept
Best Costumes
Best Picture

At our Oscars on Friday, all youth are invited even if they did not make a movie. Please dress for our red carpet (we will be taking photos!) and bring a dessert to share. We will be starting promptly since we are also watching all of the videos, so be sure to arrive early if you want your photo taken! Hope to see you there!
