VBS is coming soon – it’s from July 8-12, 9:15am-12:15pm. Volunteers are still needed (minimum age is students who have completed grade 6) so if you’re able to help, fill out the form on the website. In the afternoons, we will be hosting Crossover events – these events are for students going into grades 6-9 and are designed to help them cross over into iConnect and youth. Older students can still attend but will be student helpers when needed.
Here are the details about Crossover week:
- Monday July 8: Hot dog lunch (provided this day only), icebreaker and field games, 12-3pm
- Tuesday July 9: Split day – choose between outdoor games and painting a mural in the church. Bring your own lunch, water, sunscreen, and comfy shoes. 12-3pm.
- Wednesday July 10: Paint Wars (this is also water day for VBS) – we will be heading to the park across the street for paint games! It’s sort of like water games, but instead of water balloons, we throw paint! The paint will easily wash out of hair and skin, but bring old clothes to be safe. Bring lunch, water, sunscreen, old, light coloured clothes, a change of clothes, and a towel (we will hose you off after!). 12-3pm
- Thursday July 11: Beach Day – we will be heading to Crescent Beach for the afternoon. We will return to the church LATER at 4pm. Bring lunch, swimwear, extra clothes, a towel, water, sunscreen, and anything else beachy. We are looking for parent drivers as well! There will be a waiver form sent out to students on July 8 and students MUST sign up by July 10 to participate (we need to know drivers so we can organize rides!). 12-4pm.
- Friday July 12: NO EVENT – stay after VBS to help us clean up the church! Then go home and nap after a busy week.
