Monday small group - Nov. 5

Dear parents,

This is the third week of our small group study on the characteristics of God. This week we talked about how God is patient, using Psalm 103 as our primary text. We discussed how we’ve seen God display patience in our lives, and we talked about the importance of developing this godly trait in our lives.

Take time in the next few days to talk with your teenager about this week’s lesson. As always, let me offer you a few starter questions you can use to get the conversation rolling with your student:

• Do you reflect the characteristic of patience to others around you? Are you slow to get angry with people who hurt or offend you?
• What are some ways that you have seen God’s patience in your life?
• I know that teenagers can often feel that they are unstoppable—that their whole life is in front of them. While this is true, you have no guarantee of how long your life will be. How might this impact your choices and the way you live? How might this affect your relationships with your non-Christian friends?
