Sunday school Jan. 11

This week our Sunday school class was New Year's Letters - a tradition that started before I was working at Bethany. Each year, all of our students write letters to their future selves - they fill the letters with predictions, goals, etc. I keep the sealed envelopes in my office and mail them off during the last week of December. Students who participated in last year's class recieved their letters right before Christmas.

If you want to follow up with your child about this lesson, here are some questions to ask:
- Why do you think so many people set New Year's resolutions?
- Why might so many people fail at these goals?
- What resolutions did you set? How can you ensure success?
- If you didn't set any, why not?
- What do you hope to achieve this year, regardless of resolutions? How do you plan to do those things?
