Coming up at Youth & iConnect - I.D. Bags!

For the next two weeks, both iConnect and Youth are doing an activity called "I.D. Bags." Each group is doing this separately - preteens will be sharing together as one big group, while youth will do this during small group time.

Basically, each person brings a bag with 3 items (3-5 is fine if you have trouble choosing!) that represent who they are, or something important from their lives. We will each have a chance to share our items with the group and explain their significance. The items can be pretty much anything - I've done this activity where people brought common items like a favourite book or a photo of a loved one, and others brought creative things, like one girl who brought her bag of prescription pills that she had to take each day to manage an illness, and another girl brought a childhood toy that represented her immigration to Canada. Basically, if it's important to you and it's not a weapon, feel free to bring it!

We will be taking time this week and next week (Sept 19 and 26) to share with one another, so if you forget this week or can't attend, you have another opportunity :)
