Fall Youth Event Calendar - September-December 2016

Here is our full Friday night event schedule for Youth this fall. This information was also mailed out and copies are available at the Welcome Centre. If you aren't receiving our newsletters by mail, email Amanda to be put on the list (astevenson@bethanybaptist.bc.ca).

All Youth events are from 7-9pm on Friday nights, are for Grade 8-12 only, and are free unless otherwise noted.

September 16—Bright Night 
Wear something bright and/or wacky, bring a friend or two, and join us as we kick off the new school year with all things neon! Lots of games, food and prizes for the craziest outfits.

September 23—Alive
Join us for our first Alive of the year—games, worship and small groups all happen on Alive nights. Bring a personal item to share during small group time. This fall, our teaching series is called Christianese and we will be looking at some of the “big words” you hear at church but might not understand. This is a great topic for newcomers.

September 30—Corn Maze 6:30-9:30pm
We are heading to the Bose Maze in Cloverdale—wear boots/old shoes, bring a flashlight and $7. Sign up with Amanda by September 28 to get a ride from the church, or meet us there! Don’t be late because we leave on time!

October 7—Alive
Join us for games, worship and small groups. We will be kicking off our Socktober Drive with some fun activities.

October 14—Youth Olympics
Work in teams and go for the gold! Bring some friends and get ready for a great night of team games together.

October 21—Alive
Join us for games, worship and small groups.

October 28—Chapel Richmond-Delta - meet there at 6:45 or at church for 6:30 if you need a ride
We are heading to Chapel—a multi-youth group night that includes loud worship music and student testimonies with other Richmond & Delta churches. Meet at Cambie Secondary at 6:45pm, or contact Amanda 48 hours in advance if you need a ride from a leader (leaving the church at 6:30pm). $2 suggested donation.

October 29—Clue Game (Saturday event, 5:30-9:30)
Clue is our biggest outreach event of the year—it’s designed for you to invite ALL of your friends! Theme will be announced at the youth kick off event. $2 admission. Register the week leading up to the event.

November 4—Live-Action Monopoly
Get ready for a big new event—life-sized Monopoly! Work in teams to play this giant version of the board game. A great event to invite friends to, especially if they came to the Clue Game!

November 11—Alive
Join us for games, worship and small groups. We will be honouring Remembrance Day this evening as well.

November 18—Car Rally
Work in teams to complete the scavenger hunt for your chance at a prize—invite some friends and be sure to sign up with Amanda no later than November 16. Parent drivers needed (class 5 license & crim check required).

November 25—Alive
Join us for games, worship and small groups.

December 2—Christmas Morning on Friday Night
Wear your pajamas, bring a dessert to share, invite some friends, and join us for a Christmas party with all the trimmings! Lots of games and prizes to be won.


There are no Friday events on December  9-30.
 We resume with GLOW GAMES on January 6, 2017.
