All events require a completed Summer Event Waiver. Hand in your waiver at the first event you attend (from June 24-September 2) and you are covered for all following events too. Printed copies available at the Welcome Centre on Sundays or at all summer events.

Please read all details as some events have age limits, costs, travel instructions, etc.

Sign up for all summer events with one registration form here OR email Amanda at least 24 hours before each event to sign up (astevenson@bethanybaptist.bc.ca). Please note that some events have limited spaces and are first come first served. Crossover 2016 requires a different online form - click here (Crossover registration is helpful but not required).

June 24 – School’s Out Party

7pm-12am l Grades 7-12 (as of June) l meet at Playland outside of main entrance l $26 earlybird price until May 27, rises to $28-$30 after May 28

We are celebrating the end of school with other churches! Buy tickets from Amanda until May 27 or on your own until the event date at schoolsoutvancouver.com. Find your own ride and meet outside of main gates. Parents are welcome to join us. Sign up required so we can meet you at the park. Contact Amanda if you can’t find a ride.

June 28 – Finding Dory Movie Day

Showtime TBA l Grades 7-12 (as of June) l Strawberry Hill Cinema – 12161 72 Ave, Surrey l Admission: $6.50

Meet inside the main entrance of the theatre. Showtime will be sent via email, Facebook group, and youth blog as soon as it is listed online. Parents are welcome to join us. Find your own ride there. Sign up so we can meet you.

July 4-8 – Crossover Week - click here

July 12 – Make Your Own Pizza & Games Night

6-9pm l going into Grades 6-12 l Bethany youth room l free event

Join us for dinner as we are making our own pizzas! After dinner we will have board games, video games, and open gym time. Concession will be open during games. Sign up if you are coming for dinner. No need to sign up if you are just coming for games.

July 14 – Buntzen Lake Day

9am-5pm l going into Grades 6-12 l drop off/pick up from church l free event

We are heading to Buntzen Lake for a day at the beach and on the trails. Drop off and pick up are from the church. You can also meet us there. Bring swimsuit, towel, extra clothes, sunscreen, water, lunch, and runners if you want to walk the trails. Sign up in advance so we can arrange rides or a meeting place at the beach. Parent drivers needed.

July 19 – Bigger and Better Night

7-9pm l going into Grades 6-12 l start and end at Bethany but wandering Hamilton neighbourhood l free event

This is a team competition – work with a group of friends to knock on doors and trade in your original item for something bigger and better. Team who returns with the biggest and best item wins! Sign up required. We are looking for parent chaperones.

July 21 – Fly Over Canada & Downtown Lunch

10am-2pm(ish) l going into Grades 8-12 l meet at Scott Road Skytrain Station l $20 for ticket (or buy online for $17), bring lunch & Skytrain money

We are heading downtown to Canada Place for Fly Over Canada, and then will find a place to go for lunch. Meet at Scott Road Station OR make arrangements with Amanda to meet at another station on the route. Sign up required.

July 26 – Games Night

7-9pm; going into Grades 6-12; Bethany youth room; free event

Join us for board games, video games, and open gym time at the church. Enter through the gym doors. Feel free to bring games with you! Concession will be open. No sign up required.

July 27 – Downtown Day & Fireworks

1:30pm onwards l going into Grades 8-12 l meet at 22^nd St Skytrain and heading to English Bay l bring Skytrain money

Join us for a day at the beach before the fireworks! Bring swimsuit, towel, extra clothes, blanket, sweater, bagged dinner OR money for dinner. We may make stops along the way to explore downtown before settling in at the beach. There are also food trucks at English Bay if you would rather buy your meal there. Return time is dependent on how fast we can get to the Skytrain – we will call parents once we have arrived at Waterfront Station (approx.. 11-11:30pm). Sign up required so we know to meet you.

August 16 – Stanley Park & La Casa

10am-3pm l going into Grades 8-12 l drop off and pick up from Bethany l bring money for ice cream

We are heading to Stanley Park to walk around the seawall and hang out in the sun! On our way home we will be stopping at La Casa Gelato for treats – there are over 200 flavours! Bring runners, sunscreen, water, lunch, and money for ice cream. Sign up required. Parent drivers needed.

August 18 – Kits Beach & Pool

11am-4pm l going into Grades 6-12 l drop off and pick up from Bethany l Admission fees: $2.95 age 12 and under, $4.19 age 13 and older (before tax)

We are heading to Kits to enjoy the sun and surf! We will be heading to the pool (right on the beach) for some swim time and may move to the beach afterwards. Bring swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, lunch, water, blanket or chair, extra clothes, and pool admission. Sign up required. Parent drivers needed.
