Friday Nights from April 1-May 13
Now that KidZone has wrapped up, all Grade 5 students are invited to join us at iConnect, our preteen ministry, for our Friday night activities this spring - a GREAT way to "cross over" from kids ministry to preteen ministry before you start Grade 6 this fall!
There are NO iConnect events during Spring Break (March 18 or 25), but our Spring Sports Camp program on Friday nights will be meeting on those dates and you are invited to join the Grade 2-4s for some gym time during the break. Starting April 1, Sports Camp will only be for grades 2-4 and all Grade 5s will start iConnect.
We meet every Friday from 7-9pm in the iConnect room (upstairs at the end of the youth hallway) for events and activities. We have planned some great activities to help you get to know your new group, make some new friends, and have fun with the friends you already have in Grade 5!
We are SO excited to get to know you better in the coming months and hope you can join us! Be sure to also mark your calendars for July 4-8 as we offer afternoon events for preteens and teens each day after VBS (check the VBS page this spring to register separately for Crossover events - those who don't participate in VBS are still welcome to join us in the afternoons). We also run weekly events during July and August for those going into Grades 6-12 and we hope to see you there!
iConnect Events for Grades 5-7:
April 1 - Alive Night - our Alive events include games, snack time, devotionals, and more! Each week is something different - and for this event we will have some gym time too!
April 8 - Stop Motion Movie Making - work in teams to create stop motion animated movies - will your team win a prize for your creation??
April 15 - Amazing Race - work in teams to complete this church-wide challenge based on the popular reality TV show!
April 22 - Birthday Night - join us as we celebrate everyone's birthday on one day with a big party - complete with birthday games, party hats, cake, goodie bag prizes, a pinata, and more!
April 29 - Alive Night - this night will feature games, snacks, music with the youth, and a bottle egg launch challenge.
May 6 - Photo Rally - this is a photo-taking scavenger hunt - complete the most points with your team and find out if you are the winners next week!
May 13 - Ice Cream Wrap Up Party - this is our last event of the school year - we will do the "photo reveal" from last week and enjoy 20 foot long ice cream sundaes with all the toppings!
We take a break for the remainder of the school year - summer events kick off with Crossover Week (July 4-7) followed by weekly events such as barbecues, game or movie nights, outings, and more!
