Youth Bible Studies

This year we are bringing back youth Bible studies! Last year we didn't do them because 3 out of 4 of our events each month were Alive nights, which include small group time. However, because our group this year is young (two-thirds of our youth are in grade 8-9) we wanted to have a better balance between the "fun" nights that are easier to bring friends to, and Alive nights with worship/small group time.

Many of our students just love their small group time, so we want to offer some other options for students who like to delve deeper into the Bible and group discussions - hence bringing back Bible study! These groups are for grades 8-12. We find that many preteens just don't want to sit that long - but if there is enough interest in a preteen group we may start a shorter study. If you are a preteen who really wants to be in a Bible study, let me know!!!

This fall we have two different studies kicking off, with the potential for more as the year goes on. There are two types of groups - groups that choose to meet for an entire school year and study a variety of topics of their choosing, and groups that meet to cover one series and then end. We are offering one of each this fall!


North Delta Study - year long

Pastor Stef and his wife Nancy are opening their home in Delta for a year-long group. This group will meet every SECOND Tuesday for the whole school year - perfect for those of you who are busy with extra-curricular activities and have trouble committing to a weekly meeting. They will start by studying the Apostle's Creed (Pastor Stef is also covering this in his Sunday sermons, so the group will be able to discuss what happens on Sundays too). After that, they will decide what else they want to cover together. This group kicks off on Tuesday, September 22 at 7pm. Surrey Study - meeting for one series

Heidi, one of our youth leaders, and her husband Rick are opening their home for a WEEKLY meeting to go through the Discovering Jesus course that we have previously offered at our church. This is a great option for those who are not Christians AND those who are. They will be meeting every Wednesday this fall until the series is completed. This group kicks off on Wednesday, September 23 at 7pm. Again, contact me for their address.
