Remaining Summer Events!

**I am on vacation from August 14-23.** I will be out of town with limited internet access. If you have any general questions, please contact the church office as Marni, our receptionist, will have basic information about the last summer event, College & Career camping, the Street Party, and info about Friday nights and Sundays for the upcoming school year. Perhaps this is why September feels so close... I only have a few workdays left before it's here! Wahoo! August 25- August 27 - College & Career Camping at Golden Ears Park
This event is open to all students going into grade 12 and higher. We have rented two campsites at the park and sign up is first come first serve. Cost is $15. Please bring your own tent, food and camping supplies - and be sure to post in our Facebook group so we can pool our supplies together! While I am away, you can contact Daniel with questions about camping as well as to sign up (dsandison@bethanybaptist.bc.ca). Your spot is confirmed when we receive your payment. Students under 18 years old must bring a signed permission form - click here to access the form. If you are unable to drive yourself to the park, contact Daniel (or myself, but remember I am away before this trip) to arrange rides.


Thursday August 28 - Summer's End Picnic
Students going into grade 6+, their parents and siblings, and all young adults are invited to join us at Spanish Banks beach for an afternoon of fun in the sun! Please find your own ride there or arrange rides with a friend. You can contact a leader or post in our Facebook group if you need a ride, but they are limited so comment early! If meeting there, look for the east concession stand (there are two - east is in the middle of the beach span) as we will try and be nearby. Look for the BBC Youth banner with colourful handprints on it. Please email me or send a Facebook message to let me know if you are coming so we can look out for you. Bring a chair/blanket, swimsuit and towel, extra clothes, your own dinner, sunscreen, water, and beach activities (e.g. floaties, frisbees, etc.). I will bring some sports gear, games and snacks too. This event is from 3-8pm but you are welcome to come whenever you are able!



And that's it for the summer! Please keep the following Fall dates in mind as we gear up for the school year:

• Sunday, September 7 - Sunday morning kickoff (Attic, 9:45am)
• Friday, September 12 - Friday events start up (iConnect, Youth, as well as kids' programming and an adult class), 7-9pm
• Saturday, September 13 - Annual Street Party (the dunk tank will be back!), 3-6pm, this is for all ages!
