Kick Off Week

Whew! I can't believe Kick-Off Week is upon us. My to-do list is scary...

This Saturday is the STREET PARTY from 3-6pm in the parking lot. Free food, activies, entertainment, you know the drill! Swing by the Children & Youth booth for some freebies and info!

On Sunday we go back to our normal schedule of Sunday School (9:45-11am) and then the worship service. Both iConnect and youth will be meeting in the Attic so we can kick things off right with breakfast snacks, hot drinks, a game, and perhaps some teaching time as well :)

On Sunday evening, we will be throwing a Goodbye Party for Pastor Brad in the Attic at 7pm. If you have called Brad your youth pastor (even if you're out of high school now) please come and celebrate the end of a great ministry and new adventures ahead! If you would like to contribute to a group gift or do something special, please contact me ASAP.

On Friday all of our programs kick off at the church... Sports Camp and Friday Night Friends (for kids), Stef's class for adults (how the study the Bible), childcare for preschool kids, and my favourites.... YOUTH AND ICONNECT!

The iConnect Kick Off is called "The Wall" and this mysterious event is actually NOT about Pink Floyd (although a lazer light show would have been cool!). I'm not going to give away the details, but the night involves paint, snacks, and awesomeness, so bring some friends and an old shirt. The event runs from 7-9pm in the Upper Room and is for grades 6-7.

The Youth Kick Off is YOLO Night! For those of you who don't know, YOLO stands for You Only Life Once (how true!). Again, I'm not giving away all the details, but bring a sweater, a digital camera if you have one, some friends, and your game face. Oh, and prepare to get silly.

Small groups will be starting up the following week. There will be two groups meeting this year and both are open to grades 8-12. One group will be lead by Carlon and will meet at his house (call the church office for his address) from 79pm. The other will meet at the church and be led by ME, but I haven't settled on a date yet because I need to figure my crazy schedule out. Wednesday looks promising though. Again, we'll meet from 7-9pm.
