Over the summer I'm planning to do a weekly Bible study most Tuesdays during the day. many of these studies will be followed by some sort of event or outing. Because many people work at camp or go on vacation, these studies will be topical instead of part of a series. We will be reading through the New Testament together, as Pastor Stef will be handing out NT reading guides to our entire congregation to be reading during the summer months.
Here is the info for the Sr. High group tonight (sorry, I don't have the info for the Jr. High group!).
Primary Passage: James 5
This week, as you find time to talk with your student about this lesson, consider using these questions during your conversation:
- James talks about praying for people when they’re sick and confessing sins to each other. What are some of the other benefits of Christians praying for each other?
- How do you display love for the “poor” and “needy” in your life? What action steps can you take in this area?
- Which lessons in this series on James have proved the most challenging ones, forcing you to examine and re-evaluate your decisions or your spiritual health? Why?

Ask your teenager for examples of things that are worthy of praise and examples of situations that need others’ help. Confess sin together and thank God for grace and forgiveness. If you have other children in your family bring everyone together for this experience. Thank you so much for the privilege to spend time with your teenager in small group!
